6th Grade Science

Great news!!!! St. John the Baptist has been approved for our recycling grant!  Along with the current science curriculum, the students will also be incorporating recycling and planet friendly lessons throughout the course of the year and tending to a compost pile that they will be in charge of.  This is a great opportunity to experience a different side of science and get involved with the community!

The first month of science in the 6th grade will be focused on Experimental Design, the Scientific Method and preparing for our trip to the Audubon Nature Center.  We will be learning how to design and execute scientific experiments and learning about Audubon and what they do.
