ST. John the BaptistSJB Stories

Academics

At St. John the Baptist Catholic Montessori School, we employ the Montessori Method in our classrooms. This method is based on two simple truths: That children must be respected, and that children spontaneously love learning.

Please read through this section to learn more about how we approach academics throughout the different grade levels.

Virtual Fundraiser August 29, 2020

The goal of this year’s fundraiser is no different than past years: raise essential funds for our school. But the format is changing. Our annual St. John’s Golf Classic is moving online.

On the evening of August 29, our school will host an online Virtual Fundraiser. It will be a celebration of our school, and a peek into the work and accomplishments of our students. Most importantly though, we need to raise more than $20,000.

The Schulze Family Foundation has generously offered us a $20,000 challenge grant. Simply put, if we raise $20,000, the Foundation will grant our school $20,000. If we do not reach our goal, we lose the entirety of the grant.

Key Ways to Support the Virtual Fundraiser
· Donate
· Be a sponsor
· Solicit additional sponsorships and donations
· Invite friends and family to watch the Virtual Fundraiser and donate
· Volunteer (email our event co-chairs, Taylor and Sara Harwood, at
VirtualFundraiser@stjohns-excelsior.org)

St. John the Baptist Catholic Montessori School is extremely grateful to The Schulze Family Foundation for offering this generous challenge grant!

Children become confident in their own abilities because the environment naturally encourages them to persevere, achieve manageable goals and correct their own mistakes.
