St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish was established in 1903. In 1951, the parish school opened its doors due to the efforts of many dedicated parishioners. In its history, the school has welcomed and enjoyed the service of the Sisters of St. Joseph and the Sisters of St. Benedict.
Today, St. John the Baptist Catholic Montessori School educates children ages 16 months through grade 8 in vibrant, multi-age learning environments.
Beginning in the fall of 2016, St. John's children are engaged in learning through the innovative Montessori philosophy. St. John the Baptist Catholic Montessori School preschool programs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and the K-8 program is accredited by the Minnesota Nonpublic Accrediting Association (MNSAA).
