Summer 2012

What a wonderful school year we had last year! Full of fun and many new learning experiences! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far! I am excited to report that next school year when you come back, you will be seeing that the preschool had a face lift! Thanks to the success of the golf fundraiser, we will be having a wall removed and be getting some new furniture and carpeting! I am excited to show you when it is complete!

If you are new to our preschool or would like further information about registration for our preschool or extended day options, please feel free to send me an email at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Take care and enjoy the summer!

Preschool

Hi Preschool Parents!

Last week we had a blast with "P" week! Our little Pirates and Princesses were particularily perfect! They enjoyed snacking on pretzels, popcorn, pickles, popsicles, pears and pizza throughout the week! We ended our week with a pajama party on Friday. One parent commented that they weren't sure who was having more fun, Mrs. King or the preschoolers!

This Wednesday we are going on a field trip to Stages Theater to see "Giggle, Giggle, Quack". We are going to have a late start at 9:00. Kids will be back and ready for dismissal at 11:45. Breakfast club will be open for business as usual. Please fill out and sign you permission slip along with a $9 payment.

This week we will be focussing on getting ready for the 3 Piggy Opera and our Mothers Day.  We will be continue practicing our letters. Our Older students have been doing a great job with phonics!

Garage Sale time is around the corner! This is a great opportunity for the students to learn the value of money and money management; not to mention business practices! The bonus to you is that you get to get rid of items from your home! The garage sale is an in house sale (not open to the public). Each child can bring in 5-10 items. I will be sending home some play money for you to pay them to do jobs around the house. Once they have earned money they bring it to school and deposit it into our preschool "Bank". Once the sale opens they can shop.

So start looking for items around your house to send in!

Take care,

Colleen
