Mrs. Roith's Homeroom

Hello, and welcome to St John's. My name is Joanne Roith and this is

my twelveth year at St. John's. I teach Middle School Religion, 4th

grade Religion, and Middle School Math. I love the students here and

can't think of any place I'd rather be. I believe in a faith-based

education and hope to pass that experience along to my students. We

will have mixed homeroom classes with 6th,7th and 8th grade

students this year.  This will be a new dynamic for everyone and we

will become a great team! All

are welcome in this place!

I hope you enjoyed your summer break.  We will be planning your first Mass which will take place the 2nd week of school.  We will also be choosing our theme and creating our scrolls for the hallway.  WELCOME BACK!!!

                         7th  Religion

We will get to know each other by sharing our "faith stories" this week.  In our first chapter we will discuss "Why we believe", and how both our  faith and reason help us to come to know God.

                                         6th Religion

Welcome to Middle School 6th graders!  We will be learning about Jesus in the New Testament this year.  We will begin with an introduction to Sacred Scripture, and explore the bible together. Later on this year we will be doing a T-3 bible study program, so this will be a great beginning.
